Tourism is an economic sector with cross-sectional character, by which example many connections can be conveyed in a clear and exciting way. In addition, the tourism industry faces major economic, technical, social and ecological challenges.
The newly launched CAS Tourism Excellence at the University of Bern helps you to tackle the key challenges facing tourism. You will acquire practical knowledge of the economic, political and ecological framework conditions and develop practical solutions for issues such as overtourism, climate change or the shortage of skilled workers. Participants will be enabled to make strategic decisions against the background of an interconnected world and to apply methods and instruments of tourism management. The CAS thesis allows a specific application of the acquired knowledge and creates practical added value for each individual field of activity.
